According to Wikipedia: Leia's well-known hairdo in A New Hope has been affectionately dubbed the "doughnut hairstyle", or "cinnamon buns", by many science fiction fans.[1] Carrie Fisher, in an appearance on the UK TV show Bring Back Star Wars, said she hated her character's hairstyle; she felt it made her face look rounder, and it took two hours every day to style. Miss Piggy of Jim Henson's Muppet Babies copied the hairdo with doughnuts in a Star Wars-centric episode of the series. Also, in one scene from Mel Brooks' Spaceballs, Princess Vespa also appears to have the hairstyle, but reveals that she is actually wearing a large pair of headphones. In the parody film Thumb Wars, the role of Leia was filled by a character named Princess Bunhead, who, as the name implies, had two cinnamon rolls for hair. A similar hairstyle still persists in the Spanish region of Valencia, and can be seen during the Falles festival.

[LIFE] Quitting My Job of 19 Years

"Yesterday I gave my 2 weeks notice to my employer of 19 years. In my various internet searches, I stumbled across a webpage where someone listed his 'soundtrack' to quitting his job. Not to be outdone I came up with my own soundtrack, complete with YouTube videos! Not to be taken too seriously. I'll miss my co-workers and the good times I've had with the company, but sometimes you need to step out of your comfort zone and take a risk.

Inspired by a true event. I think it was about 10 years ago when I was listening to a local "Top 40" countdown when some DJ filling in for the regular guy was doing okay, until he reached the #5 song by the band he mis-pronounced as "Metal-leek-ah". Kind of takes the "edge" of their image.
