LONDON, Aug 7 (Bernama) -- National divers Yeoh Ken Nee and Huang Qiang booked semifinal slots in contrasting styles in the Men's 3m Springboard diving event of the London Olympics at the Aquatics Centre here Monday.
Yeoh, competing in his second Olympics after Beijing 2008, secured the 10th spot out of the 29 divers who competed in the preliminary rounds while Huang clinched 19th place.
Only the top 18 divers from the preliminary rounds automatically qualified for Tuesday's semifinals.
Huang, however, was put on the reserve list.
In the six difficulties event, Yeoh collected 81.60, 72.00, 79.00, 76.00, 72.00 for overall 452.60 points while Huang with 68.20, 63.00, 70.95, 77.00, 81.60, 73.10 finished with a total of 433.85 points.
Of the 18 divers in the semis, only the top 12 divers will advance to the final which will be held later Tuesday evening.
