Child Of The Ghetto (UK Remix) - KOF ft. Kobi Onyame, Lioness & Wrigz

Dáithaí C has long tipped that talented purveyor of chunky Urban Beatz from the Pool KOF for greater things. KOF draws both on the gritty urban reality of Liverpool and the values of his Ghanaian roots to develop the sharp take on life articulated in his music. He has been making an increasing impact including on MTV and at MOBO. Just released 'Child of the Ghetto' is the new single by singer-songwriter, KOF.

The track is currently riding high on a number of national and regional radio station playlists, including BBC Radio 1Xtra, Unity Radio, Reprezent, Bang Radio, KCC Live, with strong support from BBC Radio 1 and Capital Network.

KOF recruits Kobi Onyame (from Glasgow), Lioness (from London) and Wrigz (from Manchester) for the UK remix to give some regional perspectives on the theme.

'Child of the Ghetto' single pack is out March 25th on iTunes.

KOF is a contender!

KOF

Dáithaí C has long tipped that talented purveyor of chunky Urban Beatz from the Pool KOF for greater things. KOF draws both on the gritty urban reality of Liverpool and the values of his Ghanaian roots to develop the sharp take on life articulated in his music. 'Be Like You' is the second single from the forthcoming project by KOF and finds him standing up for the purity of music and its purpose. Now in an interview with CNN he has received prestigious endorsement from Kanya King as one of her five favourite artists.

Kanya King is the founder of the Music of Black Origin (MOBO) awards which aims to elevate black music and culture to mainstream popular status both in the UK and internationally. King chooses her five favourite artists of the moment for CNN.

"Now KOF is an artist who shows it's not just the artists from London who have a big future ahead of them. We rate the young man from Liverpool so highly that we made sure MOBO TV shot an acoustic session with him and one of the songs we were lucky enough to hear live was "Be Like You."

Kanya King founder of the Music of Black Origin (MOBO) awards

The singer/songwriter's second single is getting huge support from the UK radio stations like 1Xtra and Choice FM, and rightly so. He is re-injecting true soul music back in the public eye and I can only support this as soul music is the first genre of music I fell in love with. It was one of the reasons why I started up the MOBO Awards in 1996.

Apart from, of course, Adele, there are not enough musicians out there who can really touch your inner self like the greats, such as Aretha Franklin, could many years ago. Obviously, these artists are plying their trade in the UK, but KOF, however, is getting the recognition he deserves quicker than most.

As for the acoustic session KOF gave, it is definitely a special and intimate performance that you can see when you have a few minutes."

KOF is All Good

Long championed by the Sage is that talented purveyor of chunky Urban Beatz from the Pool (aka Liverpool) KOF who’s last single “FIRE IT UP” has had its video featured on MTV. KOF follows the success of 'Fire It Up' with the release of "All Good", an uplifting feel good anthem that is certain to make us all see the bright side of life. This new Merseybeat is the perfect riposte to the manufactured plastic pop which X-Factor et al. are spreading like a rash across the nation.

The New Video Taken From The 'All Good Mixtape' Available for free Download On 18th November from KOFMUSIC.com :-D

On "All Good" KOF hooks up with soul singer Esco Williams and long-time collaborator, Chartstalker, on an up-tempo melody- driven ode to the days when everything goes wrong yet still everything is essentially 'All Good'. This track is sure to cure any post summer blues, get your feet moving and have you humming the melody everywhere you go.

"All Good" has received support from Radio 1, Choice FM, KISS FM and is currently playlisted on Radio 1Xtra. It is also set to enter the Commercial Club Chart.
