Olympics 2012: GlaxoSmithKline and it's five athletes

It is ironic or, symptomatic, that one of the most corrupted* laboratories, GlaxoSimithKline, that sells highly expensive drugs that contributes to make people sick, iatrogenesis is the third cause of death in America, is responsible for the anti-doping tests of the Olympic games:

GSK aims to keep the Olympic Games clean

July,16, 2012

"Olympics sponsor GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) has launched its first UK advertising campaign to promote the role that anti-doping science will play in making the London Olympics the fairest possible.

The campaign launches on the same day as the official London 2012 anti-doping laboratory, which is being provided by GSK in partnership with the London Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games (Locog) and King’s College London.

The lab, based at GSK’s Harlow, Essex, site, becomes operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week from today (16 July). More than 150 scientists, led by Professor David Cowan from the Drug Control Centre at King’s College, will carry out more tests (up to 6,250 samples) than at any other Games. Every medallist and up to 50% of all competing athletes will be tested.

The advertising campaign will feature British Olympic medal hopefuls Phillips Idowu, Beth Tweddle, David Weir, Graham Edmunds and Marlon Devonish and will appear on TV from today and outdoor advertising space across the UK from 23 July." (keep reading)

 (emphasis added)

I wonder how much GSK payed for these medal hopefuls for these outdoors. Let's see if the "hopefuls" will win. Clean from the doping test but dirty because of the greed.

Money is the measure of all things.

President Barack Obama received money from the Big Pharma for his campaign. There he is!

* GSK to pay ‘unprecedented’ $3 billion fraud charge

Published on 03/07/12 at 10:09am

GlaxoSmithKline will pay $3 billion in fraud charges, the largest of its kind in US history.

The charges relate to the off-label promotion of its antidepressants Paxil and Wellbutrin for unapproved uses, such as for the treatment of children and adolescents and for sexual dysfunction."

Pharmageddon by David Healy: Another book about the crimes committed by medicine

While people are discussing the health care in US people are being put on drugs with low benefits and a huge amount of risks.

This is another book about the creepy story of how Americans are being silently killed by drugs prescribed by physicians. What happens in America  happens in many countries around the world.

The list of books written by physicians is getting longer. I wrote a post about John le Carrè's "The Constant Gardener", John Braithwaite "Corporate Crime in the Pharmaceutical Industry", and many posts about medicine.

This is another one.

You should visit David Healy's blog: and take a look at what he is writing and also at the other books he wrote.

The first time I read about the concept of  Pharmageddon was at Charles Medawar site Social Audit. Here is where it's described,

This is what is written about Pharmageddon at Dr. David Healy's site and I have to disagree with the part where it is said that physicians fail to recognize the side effects of the drugs because they are under a Stockholm Syndrome and there is no help for those who suffer such a condition.

It is amazing that after all that is being written and all the clinical data physicians behave as if nothing was happening but excusing them because they suffer from a condition that has no cure sounds out of this planet.

Iatrogenesis is the third cause of death in America. Still physicians don't know about it?

No. If physicians suffer from any disease it would be blindness but who but the blinds on is what has to be discussed.

_________________________________________________

"Pharmaceutical companies have hijacked healthcare in America, and the results are life-threatening.

Dr. David Healy documents a riveting and terrifying story that affects us all.

Pharmageddon is the story of a tragedy.

"In 1962 a sleeping pill called thalidomide caused a horrific drug disaster whose emblematic images of limbless and handicapped babies born to distraught mothers linger to this day.The United States Congress swung into action. They wanted to prevent such a tragedy happening again. They were also determined to rein in the marketing excesses of the pharmaceutical industry. Three steps were taken.

First, new drug development was rewarded with product rather than process patents. Second, new drugs were made available on a prescription only basis. Third, new drugs had to prove they worked through controlled trials before they could be marketed.

In 1962 it looked like these steps would make for safer and more effective drugs and ultimately reduced healthcare costs.

In 1962 it looked like these steps would make for safer

and more effective drugs and reduced healthcare costs.

On the 50th anniversary of the 1962 FDA bill enacted by Congress, Pharmageddon shows how these very arrangements have led to an escalating number of drug induced death and injury, how in some areas of medicine drug induced death is the commonest form of death, and how the costs of treating these problems exceed the costs of the entire drugs budget.

Medicine and the marketers

Pharmageddon also shows how these same changes have turbo-charged pharmaceutical industry marketing. The horrors are best caught by the example of the increasing numbers of pregnant women who religiously steer clear of alcohol, tobacco, soft cheeses, or anything that might harm their unborn child, but who are nonetheless being urged by their doctors to take drugs like the antidepressants — now the most commonly prescribed drugs in pregnancy — even as the evidence accumulates that these drugs cause birth defects, double the rate of miscarriages, and cause mental handicap in children born to mothers who have been taking them.

Pregnant women who religiously steer clear of alcohol, tobacco, soft cheeses, or

anything that might harm their unborn child are urged by their doctors to take antidepressants.

This example of a shepherding of innocents into pharmaceutical killing fields is not an isolated incident. Life expectancy in the US, the country that consumes most of the latest life-saving drugs is falling rapidly compared to the rest of the world. For diseases like schizophrenia, we are now doing 10 times worse in terms of life expectancy than we were 100 years ago.

Not even the FDA has access to the data.*

The means to protect ourselves from a recurrence of the thalidomide disaster have been our undoing. Product patents gave an incentive to pharmaceutical companies to produce blockbuster drugs — drugs that were so valuable to a company and its survival that the incentives to breach regulations and hide any safety data that might be inconvenient for the company are so huge that entire trials are hidden, that almost all trials are ghostwritten to ensure the data looks right, and no one, not even the FDA, has access to the data. (read the entire description at David Healy's site."

* If FDA had no access to the data now it has and is even helping the BIG PHARMA using artifices like evergreening.

Columbine victim: Mark Taylor locked up to be drugged and remain silent

Interview with Mark's mother Donna Taylor.

Listen to internet radio with MedicalWhistleblower on Blog Talk Radio

The lawyer Wesley Hoyt is working for families of Columbine.

After the shooting, Mark had extensive hospitalization and was in and out of the hospital three times. The traumatic memory of that day will always remain with Mark Taylor.

Why is meek and mild Mark Taylor locked up and the Arizona shooter, Jared Loughner, allowed to run free based on HIS “Constitutional Rights” and commit mass murder???

This is our most comprehensive expose yet.  It ties the current illegal confinement of Mark Taylor in an Arizona mental hospital with an extensive re-edit of videos regarding the Bomb Warrant, The January Incident and the ensuing coverup.  On one of the videos, the news helicopter pilot is relating how the FAA was closing his air space even though he was three miles away!  Next up the “Roof Top Shooters” and why Mark is being persecuted and tortured.

Mark Taylor is a victim several times over:

  1. The shooting and lying there for two hours with bullets whizzing around him while he was bleeding from nearly a dozen bullet wounds.  Some bullets remain embedded in his spine and near his Aorta.  Because of the way the bullets ravaged Mark’s body, it was impossible for the surgeons to count the wounds.  The estimated bullet count ranges from 8 to 13.  Miraculously, he had a full recovery, went on a book tour, testified before the FDA and was interviewed on numerous television broadcasts.  Now he’s been declared an “incapacitated person.”  WHY ?

  2. Mark has been illegally detained and drugged TWICE now, this time for over a year.

  3. Michael Moore has forgotten to send his check to Mark for his part in the movie.

  4. The “government” of Arizona is committing multiple crimes including violations of Mark and Donna’s Freedom of Association, Guarantee of Counsel along with their fundamental Human Rights.  etc….

Now, under the best of circumstances, Mark faces one to two years of recovery and may never fully recover from the continued misuse and abuse of psychiatric medications.

Mark has been imprisoned illegally and the “Government of Arizona,” violating so many of Mark and Donna’s Constitutional Rights that I am too tired to list them all, but, I assure you, I’ll have them up on this site shortly, well, actually, they are lengthy, appallingly so! Of course, I may just be uneducated; maybe there is a logical explanation for this foul-up."

Source: ColumbineFamilyRequest.org. Wesley Hoyt is a private investigator who volunteered for  several Columbine families who are still trying to heal from the shootings on April 20, 1999.  "Why won’t Columbine heal?" he asks.

Donna Taylor: "Mark and I was interested on finding out why did they did the shooting. The other part of it is that they were drived... these boys were  the best kids in the school until they were messed up with drugs and they became a nightmare.

They were very friendly... listen to the interview.

Assisted suicide: Exit and Dignitas x Dr Kevorkian

Jack Kevorkian

Exit and Dignitas,  two non-profit organizations, are making of euthanasia a commerce using strategies to promote their work that are similar to mainstream propaganda.

The millionaire Terry Pratchett received a VIP treatment and his suicide, assisted by Dignitas, was transmitted at BBC.

The criticism that followed was, of course, a backlash for the euthanasia and assisted suicide debates.

Exit and Dignitas sell many items and the drug they choose as the most efficacious is Nembutal, pentobarbital. They tell people to fly to Mexico because it is the only country where the drug can be bought.

There is a huge difference in advocating for the right to die and profiting from it. The two organizations are "non-profit".

The founder of Dignitas is said to have become a millionaire in ten years.

"A decade later, (after Dignitas clinic) the Beobachter investigation found, he had an annual taxable income of £98,000 and a personal fortune of over £1.2 million, wealth that includes a luxury villa."(...)
"But the cost of a simple suicide at Dignitas has risen from £1,800 in 2005 to £4,500, fuelling suspicions that the clinic may not be sticking to Swiss laws that are supposed to prevent people “selfishly” profiting from assisted suicide." The Telegraph.

"One nurse who assisted 30 deaths during her two and a half years at the clinic said she was so disturbed by its activities that she quit her job. The Daily Mail

Dr. Kevorkian didn't ask for money. He dedicated his life in raising awareness about euthanasia and what he did:

"Kevorkian was imprisoned for eight years. As a condition of his parole in 2007, he promised not to assist in any more suicides.

He himself had appealed to leave prison early because of poor health, but said he did not consider himself a candidate for assisted suicide.

Kevorkian did not leave the public eye after his exit from prison, giving occasional lectures and in 2008 running for Congress unsuccessfully.

Born in the Detroit suburb of Pontiac, Kevorkian taught himself the flute and was a painter. Well read in philosophy and history, he cited Aristotle, Sir Thomas More and Pliny the Elder in his arguments for why people should have the right to die with dignity.

In a June 2010 interview with Reuters Television, the right-to-die activist said he was afraid of death as much as anyone else and said the world had a hypocritical attitude toward voluntary euthanasia, or assisted suicide.

"If we can aid people into coming into the world, why can't we aid them in exiting the world?" he said. (emphasis added)

Doctor-assisted suicide essentially became law in Oregon in 1997 and in Washington state in 2009. The practice of doctors writing prescriptions to help terminally ill patients kill themselves was ultimately upheld as legal by the U.S. Supreme Court. (Reuter's whole article here)."

He had integrity and he really cared about people and organizations like Dignitas and Exit care about money.

The discussion about euthanasia is far from over but people are committing suicide or searching for assisted suicide. Organizations like Exit and Dignitas are not helping to  broad the discussion, on the contrary, they give more arguments for those who are against euthanasia.

Dignitas and Exit are making a scandal out of a serious problem.

The way things are now assisted suicide is for the few who are willing to go on a trip to Zwitzerland and can pay for everything Dignitas charge. The others? They can commit suicide after that's what has been happening for centuries. Not even the state or the Pope's approval is necessary.

Lawful of unlawful it's one person's choice.

In the US's states of Oregon, Montana and Washington, Belgium, and Netherlands where assisted suicide is legal, unlike Switzerland where it is not legal, the debate is still going on.

Dr. Kevorkian did not ask for money and charging to help someone to take a very cheap drug is unethical and quite undignified. Commercializing assisted suicide is outrageous.

Ludwig Minelli, Dignitas founder, is a lawyer. Ironic.

"Freedom" by Zenos Frudakis: A sculpture commissioned by the slave creator lab GlaxoSmithKline

The sculpture "Freedom" by Zenos Frudakis, done in 2001 for the laboratory GlaxoSmithKline, is exhibited at the Philadelphia headquarter of the laboratory.

He also did two works with GlaxoSmithKline former CEOs Joseph J. Ruvane and Sanford Altwood and painted Sir Paul Girolami, former CEO, Glaxo PLC.

I believe that the Zenos is not aware of the numerous harms caused by medicines sold by this laboratory.

The antidepressant Paxil/Seroxat alone causes addiction; suicidal and violent behavior that makes people kill themselves or others; it is tetarogenic, and all the other harms caused by SSRIs antidepressants - Prozac-like.

Antidepressants SSRIs don't help depressed people and the most common is that the person who has clinical depression takes all the brands on the market and are not helped, The numerous side effects are added to the pain. The hypothesis that depression is caused by a "chemical imbalance" of serotonin has already been proved wrong and these antidepressants  reuptakes serotonin in the brain, 5 per cent, and rest, 95% goes to other parts of the body creating a huge amount of harms.

Impotence and lack of sexual desire, inability to achieve orgasm and other sexual dysfunctions are caused by SSRIs and it can last even when the person quits the drug.

There is a Yahoo group  SSRI-sex Yahoo group created in 2005, where some people exchange their pain and try to find solutions but they didn't find any relief.

"Freedom" is not a concept that goes well with laboratories as many people have been saying over the internet in testimonies and in blogs.

For GlaxoSmithKline Bob Fiddaman haa been exposing  at his blog Seroxat Sufferers:  Stand up and Be Counted. Seroxat is paroxetine that is sold in America as "Paxil" and in other countries as "Aropax".

The UK Parliament has already done a good review in 2005 , "The Influence of the Pharmaceutical Company"(click at the link to read the .pdf.) but nothing has changed.

Excerpt:

5. Problems with Seroxat and other SSRIs

Prozac and Seroxat are the best-known examples of SSRI and related antidepressants, but others are widely used. The introduction of SSRIs led to a threefold increase in antidepressant prescriptions between 1990 and 2000. Prescriptions for antidepressants now match those of the benzodiazepine tranquillisers at their peak, 25 years ago.

Almost from the outset, there was concern about two main problems with SSRIs. First, there was suspicion (initially centred on Prozac) that these drugs could induce suicidal and violent behaviour – infrequently, but independently of the suicidal thoughts that are linked to depression itself. There was also concern (centred on Seroxat) about a risk of dependence; some users found it impossible to stop taking SSRIs because of severe withdrawal symptoms.

The MCA/CSM formally reviewed these problems on several occasions. The suicidality problem was first investigated in 1990/1; withdrawal reactions were investigated in 1993, 1996 and 1998. In 2002, the MCA organised a further intensive review of both problems. This review was abandoned in April 2003, following criticism about conflicts of interest involving key figures on the review team. (emphasis added)

For a long time most artists are committed with the great causes like human rights, freedom of speech and all the problems that citizens of the world are facing. It is disappointing when it goes the other way.

Mark Twain, Martin Luther King, Abraham Lincoln, Joe DiMaggio, contemporary governors, mayors and academical people were sculpted by Zenos creating a heteroclite and strange hall of fame.

"I'm not duplicating life. I'm making a statement about human values." said Duane Hanson a great sculpture that used hyper-realism to talk about human condition. I did two posts about him: "Duane Hanson complex's world" and here.

Update: April, 17, 2013

The sculptor Zenos Frudakis left a long comment explaining that the sculpture was not commissioned by GlaxoSmithKline although all the data I search claims that it was done for the laboratory. This is what he said:

"I am Zenos Frudakis, the sculptor of Freedom and the portraits you have discussed. I appreciate your concern about prescription drugs. The tragedies of Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson are witness to this justifyable concern. There are some things you won’t know about the sculpture if you are not standing in front of it.

The client for this sculpture was the building developer, not the pharmaceutical company. GSK is not the owner of the sculpture, nor does it have anything to do with the sculpture. The developer asked me to create this sculpture for the front of his building. The major renter of the building for some years has been GSK, who is now moving, and not taking the sculpture with it. It doesn’t belong to them. I do not have control over the renter of the building. The next client will likely be a business, because it is an office building, but it could be a non-profit organization like Red Cross or Greenpeace.

I agree that artists need to be ethically responsible, and of course I did not create the sculpture to promote drug addiction. The sculpture is about freedom. Long after many renters come and go in that building, the sculpture will remain and Freedom will endure.

Regarding the variety and scope of my portrait sculpture, I am a professional working sculptor. As such, I am commissioned to create portraits of people. I have, from time to time, declined to sculpt people I felt would compromise my ethical integrity.

This is how I make my living. On my own, I sculpt people I admire. If you view my portfolio, you will see I have created portraits of Martin Luther King, Jr., Gandhi, Margaret Sanger, Darwin, Einstein, Thoreau, Emily Dickenson, Churchill, Anne Frank, Roosevelt, Nietzsche, John Muir, Rachel Carson, Alan Turing, Harriet Tubman, Harriet Beecher Stowe, and many more. Portraits that I do on my own are my personal choice, and they are not going to coincide with everyone’s personal favorites.

I am driven to create art that promotes a better world, but like everyone, I am limited by time and financial resources. I sincerely do my best."

This is what Zenos wrote but I still do not understand  the reason he used as models two GlaxoSmithKline former CEOs:

Joseph J. Ruvane, former CEO of GlaxoSmithKline. Bronze, over-life-size sculpture. Research Triangle Park, NC

Sir Paul Girolami, former CEO, Glaxo PLC. Oil on canvas, life size. London, England.

Help! I need to change my dog's diet to homemade. Anyone already did that?

I'm feeling stupid and blaming myself for giving nothing more than processed food to my dog as the vet who was her owner told me to do ten and a half years ago. I bought the most expensive and was sure that it was the best I could do for her.

Wrong! She is with a liver problem and this are the scary numbers:

ALT = 282,00 > normal range of 5.00 - 82,00 (UI/L)

Alkaline phosphatase = 704,00 > normal range 20,00 to 150,00 (UI/L)

The ultrasound test is not better and the worse is that she has a severe hepatomegaly (liver gets larger).

She is fine and asymptomatic and is only sleeping more profoundly and for more time. She is not coming quickly as she used to do.

But she is already an old lady so I believe that changes will be happening and it is normal.

I have started to change her diet by adding rice to the processed food and I'm planning to little by little take stop giving her the poison that Royal Canin is producing and we pay crazy amount of money.

I talked to a biologist that lives next to me and she told me that these processed foods are poisons.

I did some research and found some sites.

I just don't know what am I going to give her. I don't wanna go to any vet because I simply don't trust any and had a very bad experience with this one and two others that I described at this post.

I'm giving her a little bit of my own food.

Yesterday I did put the processed food without the rice and she didn't eat. She loves rice, always did and how I wish I had talked to my friend earlier but physicians are those we talk about health, isn't it?

Vets are receiving money to prescribe the processed food just like those human physicians receive from the labs.

I'll search and ask some advises to those who have animals but are smarter than me and give homemade food to their dogs.

I cannot take the $Royal Canin$ cold turkey because she'll have a serious diarrhea and even bleed as it happened once when she was fed with another of these processed food.

If you have any advise I would love to listen.

I just found this site and these the list of side effects of one of the ingredients of Dog's Processed Food:

"Although you won't see it on the label, since it is often added at the rendering plant and not by the manufacturer, ethoxyquin (EQ) is used to preserve most dry dog food. EQ is the most powerful of all preservatives and may be the most toxic.

Rendering plant workers that have been exposed to it denoted side effects similar to those of Agent Orange:

* A dramatic rise in liver or kidney damage

* Cancerous skin lesions

* Hair loss

* Blindness

* Leukemia

* Fetal abnormalities

* Chronic diarrhea

In animals, EQ has been linked to:

* Immune deficiency syndrome

* Spleen, stomach, and liver cancers

* And a host of allergies

Stop feeding your dog or cat with poison. Don't do what I did.

This is another great article:

"“We are seeing disease conditions in animals that we did not see years ago. Many of these may be traced to nutrition as the source…” Don E. Lundholm, DVM

Dr. Kollath, of the Karolinska Hospital in Stockholm, headed a study done on animals. When young animals were fed cooked and processed foods they initially appeared to be healthy. However, as the animals reached adulthood, they began to age more quickly than normal and also developed chronic degenerative disease symptoms. (...)" (emphasis added)

Update: January, 2, 2012

I noticed that the first link has some items to sell. I didn't buy them and do no intend to and used this link because of the list of the diseases. I was nervous and didn't check if there were advertisements.

I don't buy any food to my dog now. It is all homemade.

Ritalin changes children's brain for life

This is no news for me and saying that the research was done in rats and in humans it might not be this way is part of the lie.

Gather information before taking psychiatric drugs and, please, think twice, thrice, ten times before drugging your children of letting the school diagnose and advise any treatment to them.

I don't agree with the "MAY" in the title of the article. It changes. Period.

Antidepressants, anti-psychotics and many medicines has side effects making the risks overweight the benefits.

Ritalin May Alter Chemistry of Young Brains

By Neil Osterweil, Senior Associate Editor, MedPage Today, Published, July 20, 2007 Reviewed by Zalman S. Agus, MD; Emeritus Professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.

Source: Medical News.

NEW YORK, July 20 -- Children who take methylphenidate (Ritalin) throughout childhood may undergo behavior-modifying brain changes that carry into adulthood, or so investigators found in rats.

Normal rats exposed to methylphenidate during the early stage of brain development exhibited changes in brain regions linked to attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, including areas involved in higher executive function, addiction and appetite, social relationships, and stress, reported Teresa A. Milner, M.D., of Weill-Cornell Medical College here, and colleagues.

The findings suggest that methylphenidate, widely prescribed in the United States for treatment of ADHD, may have significant but largely reversible effects on developing brains, the authors reported in the July 4 issue of the Journal of Neuroscience.

"One thing to remember is that these young animals had normal, healthy brains," said Dr. Milner. "In ADHD-affected brains, where the neurochemistry is already somewhat awry, or the brain might be developing too fast, these changes might help 'reset' that balance in a healthy way. On the other hand, in brains without ADHD, Ritalin might have a more negative effect. We just don't know yet."

The alterations included neurochemical and cellular changes -- but not structural changes -- in ADHD-related regions, including the medial prefrontal cortex, striatum, hippocampus, and hypothalamus

But the authors also saw that the changes appeared to be reversible, with alterations in norepinephrine and other catecholamines largely reversed three months after the animals were taken off the drug.

"That's encouraging, and supports the notion that this drug therapy may be best used over a relatively short period of time, to be replaced or supplemented with behavioral therapy," Dr. Milner said. "We're concerned about longer-term use. It's unclear from this study whether Ritalin might leave more lasting changes, especially if treatment were to continue for years. In that case, it is possible that chronic use of the drug would alter brain chemistry and behavior well into adulthood."

The authors injected methylphenidate at 5 mg/kg or vehicle (as placebo) into male rats beginning on their seventh day of life and continuing through day 35. The animals were sacrificed either at day 35 or in adulthood at day 135, and brain sections from littermates were labeled for neurotransmitters and cytological markers with immunocytochemistry.
The investigators looked at 16 specific regions implicated either in the ADHD etiology, methylphenidate effects, or both.

They found that among the rats killed at day 35, the medial prefrontal cortex of those animals given methylphenidate showed 55% greater immunoreactivity for tyrosine hydroxylase, a marker for catecholamines, compared with controls. They also saw in this region 60% more Nissl-stained cells, indicating neuronal growth, and 40% lower norepinephrine transporter immunoreactivity density compared with controls.

In addition, rats given the active drug had a 51% decrease in norepinephrine transporter immunoreactivity in the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus and a 61% expanded distribution of polysialylated form of neural cell adhesion molecule, a marker for new cell generation.
Other changes seen in methylphenidate-treated rats included a decrease of 21% in tyrosine hydroxylase immunoreactivity in the medial striatum, and 10% in neuropeptide Y immunoreactivity in the hypothalamus.

The changes seen at the cellular level were reflected in both weight gain and an increase in anxiety on behavioral testing in the methylphenidate-treated animals, the authors noted.
But after another 100 days had passed, adult rats had decreased anxiety in an elevated plus-maze test, and had a trend toward a decrease in catecholamine marker immunoreactivity in the medial prefrontal cortex.

There were no structural brain changes observed among the methylphenidate -treated rats at either 35 or 135 days, however.

"These findings suggest that developmental exposure to high therapeutic doses of methylphenidate has short-term effects on select neurotransmitters in brain regions involved in motivated behaviors, cognition, appetite, and stress," the investigators wrote. "Although the observed neuroanatomical changes largely resolve with time, chronic modulation of young brains with methylphenidate may exert effects on brain neurochemistry that modify some behaviors even in adulthood."

Veterinary aims profit just like medicine

Last week I said that my dog would have surgery but it was cancelled.
As I know what medicine is doing to human beings so I started searching for veterinary and it is the same: money speaks louder than health.
I am suspicious about the vet and will have to find someone for a second opinion.
I am very frustrated, sad and angry* because it is outrageous to live in a era where you cannot trust health professionals.
When greed is above health I don't know...
Be careful when your pet needs treatment and don't give them vaccines because the side effects are also not informed just the way medicine is doing to humans.
Update:
* I'm very, very angry!!!!!

Update: 10/13, 2011
I went to another vet and I was right. She has one tumor on her head and others at her body but the only one that needs to be removed is the one on the head.
She is already 12 years-old and the other tumors must not be removed because it would cause an imbalance that would make other tumors appear.
The anesthesia will be a light one that last only for the time of the surgery.
Bottom line: trust your instincts and ask for a second opinion whenever you feel that something is not right.
We usually think that we are being judgmental and it is all in our heads.
No! There are good and bad professionals and our instincts work very well in revealing the bad ones once we have the knowledge that medicine and veterinary don't care about health.
Search for the good ones.

Gardasil victims: when medicine kills or make people sick because of money

I cannot pretend I didn't see this video. We are being diagnosed and prescribed drugs by the pharmaceutical industry and not physicians.

This is the reason for prescribing Gardasil:

$1,200 each injection

Promotional Price $3,000 (3 injections)

$1400 each injection

Promotional Price $3,000 (3 injections)

The deaths because of the vaccine are being covered by Merck, regulatory agencies, lawmakers and a bunch of people who make money making other people ill or giving them drugs that kill.

If this is not considered a crime I don't know what crime is anymore.

From World Net Daily:

""Anaphylactic shock," "foaming at mouth," "grand mal convulsion," "coma" and "now paralyzed" are a few of the startling descriptions included in a new federal report describing the complications from Merck & Co.'s Gardasil medication for sexually transmitted human papillomavirus – which has been proposed as mandatory for all schoolgirls.

The document was obtained from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration byJudicial Watch,a Washington group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, and it has details of 10 deaths just since September.

The new documents also reveal a total of 8,864 Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System records, up from a total of 3,461 that had been reported in a document just last fall.
WND previously has reported how Merck was lobbying state lawmakers to require the vaccination, but said it would quit the campaign after its activities were unveiled. (emphasis mine)

WND also reportedwhen a key researcher into human papillomavirus, which is targeted by Gardasil, reported it needed more testing, and howeven the Centers for Disease Control suggested the vaccine should not be mandatory.
That, however, has not diverted the building campaign to have legislatures adopt mandatory vaccination plans.
Judicial Watch said one of the reports, VAERS ID: 310262-1 (D), had this to say:
"Information has been received…concerning a 20-year-old female with no medical history reported, who on 01-APR-2008 was vaccinated with a dose of Gardasil….The patient died four days after…patient sought unspecified medical attention. An autopsy was performed which ruled out suicide and anything suspicious."

"Given all the questions about Gardasil, the best public health policy would be to re-evaluate its safety and to prohibit its distribution to minors. In the least, governments should rethink any efforts to mandate or promote this vaccine for children,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.
The organization's work uncovered reports of about one death each month since last fall, bringing the total death toll from the drug to at least 18 and as many as 20. There also were 140 "serious" reports of complications including about three dozen classified as life-threatening, 10 spontaneous abortions and half a dozen cases of Guillain-Barre Syndrome.
The document reveals the case of an 18-year-old woman who got the Gardasil vaccine, was found unconscious that evening, and died. Another woman, age 19, got the drug and the next morning was found dead in her bed."

Update June, 30, 2011

I changed the video because it is no longer available so I changed this one because it's not from patients and the probability of being removed is lower. There are many patients' video at Youtube and you can link them from this one minute video that reports a girl who died hours after taking Gardasil in 2009.

Although they say that they were going to do an "urgent investigation" nothing was done and more girls are taking this drug that has death as one of many side effects. But if lawmakers and all those who profit from the market of this vaccine are happy we are all happy, aren't we? After all we voted for them to take care of our health so it's fair that they are payed for their job.

Sounds a little Kafka.

They want to make Gardasil vaccination mandatory.

Medicine diagnoses paintings: Mona Lisa has high cholesterol a Botticelli Madonna and Michelangelo are also sick

When medicine is corrupted and cares only about money and not the health of people and drugs that kill are on the market it becomes a criminal issue.
"(NEWSER) – Leonardo da Vinci's model for the Mona Lisa was smiling despite some serious health problems, according to an Italian pathologist applying his knowledge to Renaissance painting. Professor Vito Franco of the University of Palermo says a tumor on her hand and apparent buildups of fatty acids around her eyes show that the Mona Lisa had dangerously high levels of cholesterol, the Telegraph reports.

The subjects for Botticelli's Portrait of a Youth and Parmigianino’s Madonna with Long Neck both appear to have suffered from the genetic disorder Marfan syndrome, according to Franco. The models weren't the only sick ones, Franco says: Michelangelo, as depicted in Raphael's The School of Athens, has swollen knees which "appear to indicate an excess of uric acid." This was probably the result of months spent painting the Sistine Chapel while living on only bread and water, the professor says."
Medicine is not only harming many people by prescribing powerful drugs whose risks overweight the benefits but now it is showing a ridiculous side and how far from science it is. How can it be that a physician diagnoses paintings? This is absurd.

Diagnosing a person was once difficult but now in five minutes physicians not only diagnose but prescribe and the medicines are always described as having 'mild' side effects and surely will help you and heal you.

Strangely enough the medicines prescribed are always among the most expensive. If you want to have an idea about what is happening with medicine read this review released by the English Parliament in 2005: "The Influence of the Pharmaceutical Industry".

Some highlights:

2. The drugs are produced by a very large and successful industry. It employs 83,000 people directly and many more indirectly, and makes a huge contribution to the balance of trade each year. Overall, the industry represents the country’s third most profitable economic activity, after tourism and finance. It is of great importance to the UK economy; (emphasis mine) p.25

80. A major part of the work of medical communications agencies involves liaison with the lay media and a significant proportion of their activities may be directed towards building relationships with journalists. p. 27 (emphasis mine)

a) Drug company representatives. Approximately 8,000 drug company representatives operate in the UK and play an important role in information provision and many doctors cite them as one of the main sources of information on the use of new drugs.56 p.27/28 (emphasis mine)

"Increasingly, medication is now prescribed to reduce risk of future illness. Selling medication to treat risk factors rather than diseases is immensely profitable for the pharmaceutical industry: or example, statins (to lower cholesterol levels) are now the biggest selling prescription drugs in the world and are also now available over the counter." 220 p. 75 (emphasis mine)

There are many people trying to raise awareness about how medicine is corrupted and the last concern of this industry, that has the help of regulatory agencies such as FDA and MHRA, politicians, physicians, WHO and medical organizations is people's health. Instead it is making people sick and killing  (Vioxx case as one example). Iatrogenesis, illness caused by treatment, is the third cause of hospitalization in America.

Health became a commodity that doesn't spare children. This is sad. The good news is that we don't need to go the physicians offices anymore. We will send them our pictures!
