The Ten Thousand Buddha Monastery (Man Fat Tsz)

Recently, we had a trip at the Ten Thousand Buddha Monastery (Man Fat Tsz) which is located at tha Pai Tau Village in Sha Tin, Hong Kong. There are 13,000 statues of Buddha in and outside the temple.

Going up the monastery is quite exhausting and the steps are were very steep. There are three choices to go up, to use the stairs, escalator or a lift (elevator).

Here are some photos taken at The Ten Thousand Buddha Monastery:

The back to back Buddha, behind is the nine story pagoda.

The Main Sanctum, see the little Buddha's at the back? Yes, Those are miniature Buddha statues...

The The Ten Thousand Buddha Monastery is open for FREE from Monday to Sunday at 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Tokyo's outspoken governor said earlier this week the city has decided to buy a group of disputed islands in the East China Sea to bolster Japanese claims to the territory, a move that could elevate tensions with China. Gov. Shintaro Ishihara said the city is close to reaching an agreement with the private Japanese owner of three of the four islands in the group known as Senkaku in Japanese and Diaoyu in Chinese.
