Maria Sharapova and Victoria Azarenka at the BNP Open 2012

Victoria Azarenka has done it again winning Maria Sharapova with ease 6-2, 6-3. Maria Sharapova played well too but the World Number One just continue to show what number one really is and that made Maria Sharapova felt like she plays phenomenal tennis. Once you let up against Victoria Azarenka she will continue with her winning shots. Wonderful game. But for both players they will be preparing for the upcoming Sony Ericsson Open.

Both former champions of BNP Open met at the semi-finals. Maria Sharapova took the lead and won the match 6-4 0-1(r) after Ana Ivanovic could not continue due to her injury which she said that she started to feel in the first set of the match. At the second set she decided to stop the game as she could not push off and jump. Maria Sharapova will be facing Victoria Azarenka at the final which is like a repeat of the Australia Open this year where these two players pit against to win the championship. It was also since a long time where current top two players in the World are playing with each other at the final. Victoria Azarenka has been winning 22 games straight and Maria Sharapova has the opportunity to win back the player she lost the grand slam title to now. It all sounds like this is going to be a great final ahead to watch.

Maria Sharapova and Maria Kirilenko at BNP Open 2012

Maria Sharapova and Maria Kirilenko had a real long game at the quarter finals and at the start of the game, it was Maria Kirilenko who had the lead but Maria Sharapova came back and won the next two sets. The game ended with the score 3-6, 7-5, 6-2. At the second set Maria Kirilenko took a short break to tape her ankle and Maria Sharapova managed to find her rhythm again to come back. Initially Maria Kirilenko was really confident after the first set and at the second set onwards Maria Sharapova found her groove to lead then. At the third set Maria Sharapova won and the whole game lasted 3 hours and 5 minutes. It was a great game put up by two professional players. Maria Sharapova who is a former BNP Paribas Open champion will take on another BNP Paribas Open champion Ana Ivanovic at the semi-finals.

The BNP Open 2012 is once again an exciting tennis game for spectators to catch a glimpse of their favourite players. Maria Sharapova has been performing well to advance into the quarter-finals. Ana Ivanovic who has been dropping out from games early at the previous games is also performing well and one of the more interesting match was with Caroline Wozniacki. She won the defending champion 6-3 6-2 to win the spot at the quarter-finals. She looks extremely happy after the match. Another interesting match to watch is also the quarter-finals between Maria Sharapova and Maria Kirilenko. Victoria Azarenka continues to win and remains undefeated for the the past 19 games in 2012. Will the current World Number one and two meet again like the Australia Open? Probably and if it is Maria Sharapova will certainly look forward to perform her utmost best in the game.

Maria Sharapova ready at BNP Paribas Open

Maria Sharapova is seemingly ready for the BNP Paribas Open. She had won the title before at this game though only once in so many of her titles it was a memorable one. This was one of her pro tournaments that she had won. This year after reaching to the two finals of major games, she is definitely more prepared now. Maria has not won a single major for some time but she is always maintaining the style of a champion in her and she is currently World Number two.

The opening matches of theTEB BNP 2011 in Istanbul

World No. 2 Maria Sharapova will be at the BNP game in Istanbul.

Cool Samantha Stosur reigning US open champion will be at the game too.
Top players are once again gathered at the TEB BNP 2011 in Istanbul. Current World Number two Maria Sharapova who has a pretty decent year so far climbing up in ranking to World Number two is one player definitely to watch. She will be playing with Li Na the French Open champion. Other players in this title race include Samantha Stosur who is possibly one of the coolest players out on the court.

She is also the US Open Champion and consistently in the top 5 players in the World. Victoria Azarenka the Wimbledon champion will be playing with her in this challenge. Among these players include the World Number One player Caroline Wozniacki.

This event is by far the competition with highest cash price for Women's tennis. One of the reasons of making this the richest event and gathering the elites of WTA is to boost its efforts in clinching the Olympic's hosting rights.

Caronline Wozniacki is the Champion for BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells 2011

A nice touch of the hard won trophy. (Reuters)

Caronline Wozniacki won the first set but lost the second to Marion Bartoli. Both players reached an exciting moment where a single shot or fault could result to a loss of holding the cup of triumph. It was a good game for both the tennis players.

Both had very nice serves and Marion Bartoli gets even harder playing all that she could at the second set and win it back. Caroline Wozniacki who had the game controlled at the first set started to be calm keeping her composure and at the same time as usual with her fight back spirit return every shot as fast and strong as she could. She prevailed and won the game. Once again with her determination.

Caroline Wozniacki probably does not have any special moves in terms of her techniques not even when Marion Bartoli seems to have some special serves. But her mindset has made her won the title. She never gets too tired to win back.

Indian Wells 2011 - Current World Number 1 advances on

World Number 1 Caroline Wozniacki advances on to the Final.

World Number 17 Marion Bartoli from France reaching the Final.

Former Number 1 Maria Sharapova losing to Caroline at the Semi-Finals.

Caroline Wozniacki has continued to advance on with her individual style of playing tennis into BNP Paribas Open 2011. She is one of the kind tennis player that do not possess any strong set of skills like a strong serve of Maria Sharapova, strong forehand of Ivanovic, etc. She has the mindset and determination of a champion and that is her strongest weapon when playing.

She won former World Number 1 Maria Sharapova at the semi-finals. Though Maria crashed out but her simple yet light-coloured tennis outfit made her the most good-looking tennis fashion icon at this tournament again.

Caroline Wozniacki will be facing Marion Bartoli at the Final and the winner will walk over with US$700,000 cash prize.
