Sonia Rykiel Maison 2012 Collection

I don't know about you, but I have had enough of this cold weather and frankly would like Spring to come as soon as possible. But as we can't have everything in life, I can at least start dreaming about the upcoming season and this is exactly what I'm doing today. I love the New collection from Sonia Rykiel Maison 2012. With seven new designs it is ultra feminine and bang on trend with this year's key Spring looks. Yes, I feel much better already...

Rue Visconti - Romantic roses in soft colours interspersed with black on supple heavy linen.

Rue Princesse - Roses amidst the writing for this reversible woven Jacquard.

Rue Casanova - A big dog-tooth check in vibrant heavy cotton.

From top left clockwise: Rue Visconti, Rue Madame, Rue princesse, Rue du Dragon.

Rue des 4 Vents, Rue Mazarine, Rue des 4 Vents Rose, Rue Casanova.

Liberty Art Fabrics Spring/Summer 2011

I really do adore Liberty’s new collection of fabrics for Spring/Summer 2011 which is inspired by the wonderful world of children’s illustration. Just adorable and perfect for this time of year! There are fifty new designs featured in the collection and what's even more special is that the Liberty Art Fabrics Design Studio has collaborated with a selection of children’s book illustrators, up and coming young talent such as Sally Haysom and graduates from Falmouth College of Art and Design and award winning illustrators including Lauren Child, David McKee, Brian Wildsmith, Jane Ray, Emma Chichester Clark and Quentin Blake to name a few. The result is fresh, playful and completely enchanting with a colour palette that ranges from beautiful soft delicate shades to the deepest darkest hues of the fairy tale forest.

Here is a selection of a few designers mentioned where it shows their illustrations translated into their gorgeous fabrics for this stunning collection. I am really loving this collaboration aren't you? It is just so sweet.

Charlie's Paisley by Quentin Blake.

Plum Dog by Emma Chichester Clark.

Tom's Jet by Brian Wildsmith.

Princess Emerald by Sally Haysom.
Fabrics are priced from £19.95 per metre.

New Nyssa Collection From Villa Nova

Since Spring has officially arrived I am enjoying looking at all things pretty and reminiscent of this lovely season. Therefore I wanted to share with you the new Nyssa collection from Villa Nova. Pretty Scandinavian design prints on simple cotton have a great retro vibe to them. They are so sweet, relaxing and have such fresh colours, perfect for adding some Spring zest in to your homes :) The collection is out in April so here are some pretty images to gaze at in the mean time.

Fabrics From London Design Week

London Design Week at the Chelsea Harbour was incredible as always. Just surround me by fabrics and I am in heaven. Seriously gorgeous new collections were on display and I just found myself asking for more and more samples. I thought it would be nice to share with you a few images of some of the samples that literally blew me away. Here they are all mix matched together, I think it is pretty obvious the colours that tend to draw my attention, give me a blue, grey, lilac colour palette and I'm a happy person :)

Here are some of my favourite fabrics from Chase Erwin, Sahco, Donghia and Harlequin. Beautiful wallpapers from  Cole & Son.

These wallpapers from Cole & Son are just divine, I seriously wanted them all. They have a stunning collection. The ones that caught my attention were (top left, clockwise) Paradise Tree, Hartford, Tropical birds, Wild Flowers and Ludlow.

The Donghia fabric, Edith - Violet (top left) was definitely a favourite of mine. A mix of my favourite colour palette and the stitched texture is just gorgeous. The photo really doesn't do it any justice, it is one of those fabrics I literally get excited about. Bottom right is a selection of more blue tone fabrics that I love, (starting from left) Arctic Leather from Chase Erwin in colour storm, Sahco - Denim and an absolute favourite, Harlequin - Momentum Element, this is gorgeous which feels like it has a water painted effect.

For more great LDW round ups then I suggest reading Heather Jenkinson's Blog and Dear Designer's blog.
