Decoration & Design Building NYC

During BlogtourNYC one of our premium stops was as the DDB, that's the Decoration and Design Building. With over 130 high end showrooms full of luxury furnishings it really is our equivalent to the Chelsea harbour design centre. It certainly was a day filled with inspiration non stop.

And so we entered for the first time into the lavish building of the DDB.

Eye candy at Fortuny!

Probably one of my favourite showrooms of the day, Fortuny was a sight for sore eyes amidst all of their gorgeous colourful fabrics.

A new discovery for me was Anichini, lovely brand with sublime colours.

Last stop was at De Le Cuona where nibbles & drinks were greatly appreciated after a long day.

Modenus My City Tour: Canvas

One of the highlights from BlogTourNYC was Modenus My City Tour. The lovely and gorgeous Amy from ABCD Design took us around Soho - one of the coolest neighbourhoods in NYC. There she showed us some pretty fabulous shops which I thought I would mention them to you one by one during the next coming weeks.

First up is Canvas, a gorgeous shop selling divine ceramics, wooden objects, textiles, accessories and furniture for the home created by artisans and craftsmen from the US and abroad. If you ever are in NYC then this is a must stop! In the meantime here's a taster of what's in store.

I'm back from New york and I am already missing the BlogTour gang so much! To say I had an amazing time is an understatement. I had fun, got inspired, met some great people but more importantly I made some great friends which I will take away with me from this trip!

BlogTour NYC 2012!

I am not sure if I have shared some exciting news with you, but March I will be flying off to NYC as part of BlogTour. I will be sharing this experience with a group of fantastic bloggers and I simply cannot wait!

So what is BlogTour I hear you say? It is the brainchild of the lovely Modenus Founder Veronika Miller. The ‘Tour’ involves bringing up to 15 bloggers to cities where they are immersed in the latest exhibitions that are taking place at the time of their visit. 

“The idea for Blog Tour grew out of my desire to harness the online experience from my website Modenus, and bring it back to the real world,” said Veronika Miller, founder and CEO of Modenus. “Modenus has become synonymous with great design and unique products and I wanted to find a way to bring our audience along as we scour the globe for great new design inspiration.”
