KUALA LUMPUR, March 26 (Bernama) -- The Federation International Gymnastics (FIG) has picked a technical official from Malaysia to be among the panel of judges for rhythmic gymnastics at the 2012 London Olympics in July.
Malaysian Gymnastics Federation (MGF) Honorary Secretary N. Shanmugarajah said Paramaspathy Iyakkanoo who is also the MGF technical committee chairman with about 20 years of experience would be among a panel of judges in London.
"We are honoured and proud to have a technical official among the panel. Her selection will inspire others to excel in their respective field and also ensure that the experience gained will come in handy to train others here.
"She can then train our technical officials in judging high level competition," he said in a statement here today.
Paramaspathy will officiate gymnastics events at the FIG Brevet venue in London from July 27 to Aug 12.
