Kim Her and Jeremy fall victim to cold English weather

PETALING JAYA: The cold English weather has claimed its first two victims from the Malaysian Olympic contingent.

Despite this being summer, the weather in England is still relatively chilly with frequent rain.
Thus, it was no surprise when national doubles coaches Tan Kim Her and Jeremy Gan reported feeling unwell.

Kim Her has a cold and a sore throat while Jeremy is down with the flu.
“I’ve been really tired because we’ve been working non-stop since we arrived. The weather has been quite cold and it rains frequently,” said Kim Her in a telephone interview from Bath, where the shuttlers have set up training camp.

Fortunately for the coaches and the players, it was an off day yesterday and they had an opportunity to catch a breather and visit the famed Oxford University.

Hopefully, none of the Olympic shuttlers will catch the flu bug before they depart for London tomorrow.
