Surface Design Highlights

Well to mark my first blogiversary let me tell you about my highlights from the Surface Design Show, as it was this time last year that I reported back as my first blog post. I love attending this show as it is an event buzzing with creative surface products, from wall panels to wall papers, flooring, tiles and so much more. I enjoyed seeing such a vast range of fabulous products.

Here are some of my favourite picks....

I fell in love with the bespoke wall murals from Surface View especially this one in the image, (courtesy of Homes & Gardens) I love the concept that these can be transferred as images on any surface whether it's on walls, blinds you name it. Image collections range from the National Maritime Museum, V&A, National Gallery and many more.

One of the best highlights for me was meeting Hannah from Dreamwalls (exhibiting under Decorative Stone panel). Her wall panels are gorgeous especially the Capitone range shown in the large image. How cool are these! Also available in black, a definite favourite of mine.

This stand was pretty sensational and definitely one that could not be missed. Arpa manufactures decorative HPL laminates since 1954 with a choice of over 500 decorative finishes, 30 surface textures in various sizes and format, a fabulous range.

I enjoyed seeing stamp rugs from the Rug Maker using the Queen's head as a conventional rug or as a wall hanging in various colours. Such a fun idea!

Scin has a vast range of materials that are just exquisite, you are really spoilt for choice.

Gorgeous wallpapers from Sally Angharad which have such beautiful textural surfaces. Adds such depth to a space.

As always Giles Miller gets my vote. I am and have always been a fan of his work, his unique surfaces are just divine.
