At the Aegon Classic 2011 which is taking place at Birmingham, former World No. 1 Ana Ivanovic was basically breezing through the first few rounds and reaches to the semi-finals for the first time since these couple of years. Ever since she had won the Grand Slam at Roland Garros in 2008, she had not reach to any final and this was one final she is so near reaching it.
Her opponent Daniela Hantuchova played really well too to reach to the semi-finals match and at the match between the two athletes to clinch the final placing, Ana Ivanovic was leading and then Dianela Hantuchova rallied up to take advantage of the the mistakes Ana made from behind.
She later won the match as Ana did not managed to keep up with the intensity. She will be meeting Lisicki from Germany for the title.
