Despite Failing To Retain National Title, Adiq Husainie Hopes To Do Well In Olympics

KUALA LUMPUR, June 28 (Bernama) -- Despite failing to retain the national title in the National Cycling Championship held in Kelantan last Sunday, it did not dampen Mohd Adiq Husainie Othman's hopes to perform well at the upcoming London Olympic Games.

Mohd Adiq Husainie came out eighth in last Sunday's championship despite targeting to don the national champion jersey once again after winning it in 2010.

"I did not feel bad about the results. There are just me and Anuar Manan in the team (Champion System) while TSG (Terengganu Cycling Team) have many riders taking part.

"My focus is now on the preparation for the Olympics. My target is to finish the race," said the 21-year-old when met by reporters at the launch of Eurosport live coverage of Tour de France here Thursday.
