The cool, popular and comeback at the French Open

World No. 1 in his cool look at the French Open.

Maria Sharapova playing hard at the game.

Justine Henin looking really happy after winning Maria Sharapova.

Much actions were seen at the French Open with Roger Federer the World No. 1 continues to shine and show the champion style at the matches... Although he is the No. 2 favourite tennis player at the French Open, he certainly shows he is the No. 1 at the game.

The next match that caught many attention is the one with four-time champions Justine Henin former World No. 1 against the most popular tennis player in the world former World No. 1 Maria Sharapova. They were vying for the last 16 spot at the game and both put up a great performance. Justine Henin at first took the lead and later on Maria Sharapova fought back to get back on par but she did managed to build on the advantage and lost the match.

Into the quarter finals of the French Open things are just starting to get heated up.

Tea Time!!!

Bank holiday weekend is nearly here so to get us in the mood lets sit back and think about having some afternoon tea. I'm not talking about any kind of afternoon tea but one with luxurious and glamorous surroundings which can only be the settings of the master himself, architect and designer David Collins.

The Palm Court at the Langham Hotel followed a lavish £80m refurbishment transforming it into one of the most fashionable places for tea and has also been awarded the Tea Guild Membership in recognition of its outstanding quality.

Full of plush fabrics and gold encrusted walls, relax on a velvet stool and take in the glamorous era you feel you have been transported back to. Choosing a tea has never been more difficult as there are 30 different types! If you think that is hard work try choosing a champagne with over 40 varieties.....Life can be hard work ;)

Here are some images to feast your eyes on...Ok back to work and I guess I'll make do with a Twinings breakfast tea for now!

Have a lovely Weekend :)

Cool Interiors

I absolutely adore these interior images that I found on the web, how cool are they?? I love the mix of precious velvets, accent colours, sculptural accessories and the different types of materials and textures used. So eclectic and yet so simple. One of my favourite aspects of theses interiors is the arch, it works so beautifully within the space giving that sense of openness. The funky lighting and furniture also gives it that extra touch and I'm loving that shiny flooring...

Its such a simple effect but yet pulling it off is not as easy as it looks! However I say give it try, be daring and create something young and fresh!

At the start of French Open 2010

1st seeded Roger Federer and 2nd seeded Rafael Nadal smiling at each other. (AP)

Former World No. 1 performing well at the start of the game.

Will Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal meet again this year at the French Open Final like what they did last year and at the Madrid Open? Well perhaps many would want to watch again and will King of clay Rafael managed to continue his winning streak at the clay?

I remembered it was clearly last year where many said Roger had lost his steam not performing well at the games and lost his No.1 spot and at the clay where he was not very good at... He won and impressed everyone! So never underestimate this great tennis player of all time. So far both players have been advancing well.

Another player to spot is probably Maria Sharapova. She has been losing her steam not performing well due to her injury which has been quite some time though of course sometimes a player may not perform well after an injury... This former World No. 1 managed to keep her toes at the game and put up a pretty well performance at her first round. The thing is that she has to maintain that and keep on focusing. If Maria Sharapova managed to make it to the final this will be a very interesting game to watch.

Meadow Flowers

This season really is about wild colourful flowers, We have seen it on the catwalks of Etro, Erdem and Marni and now we are seeing it in the world of interiors. Mix it with the beautiful weather we had last weekend and I'm sure we are all in the mood for some summer lovin.

Thought I'd try something a bit different. The result is my first animated cartoon. For those that may of been living under a rock lately: The Gulf oil spill disaster started when a BP oil rig exploded in the Gulf of Mexico. Killing eleven workers, the explosion also left oil leaking from a drill hole over a mile below the surface. With an estimated 200,000 gallons leaking per day (since April 20th), efforts to stop the oil spill have to date failed. Dead fish anyone?

Kelly Does It Again

Here I am on a gorgeous sunny day admiring one of Kelly Hoppen's latest project, a country house in the heart of Cotswolds. The result? A charming and sophisticated mix of neutral shades, with a Japanese sense of order and harmony which is kelly Hoppen's signature style. Theses gorgeous interiors are also softened with creased neutral linens, unlined curtains and whitewashed floors.

Such beautiful simplicity creating a perfect relaxed environment where all you want to do is immerse yourself in such surroundings. Here are a few of my favourite images which really do all the talking.

On that note I wish you all a happy weekend with hopefully lots of sunshine. :)
